Coach & Volunteer at BRYC Football

Coach & Volunteer at BRYC Football

BRYC Football runs entirely on volunteers. Our coaches are parents and community members who show up every day to develop young athletes — and we're always looking for people who want to be part of that.

You don't need a deep football background to make a real impact. Whether you want to lead a team or just help out on the sideline, there's a role for you.

A note on certification: Anyone on the sideline on game day — in any role — must complete USA Football Heads Up certification. It's free, done online, and takes about an hour. Get certified here.

Coaching Roles

Head coaches lead practices and game-day operations. Assistant coaches work alongside them in a defined role. All coaches must also register with NVYFL in addition to completing Heads Up certification. Both positions are the highest-commitment volunteer roles in the program.

Non-Coaching Sideline Roles

Every team needs at least five volunteers beyond the coaching staff. These roles require no football knowledge — just willingness to show up. All sideline volunteers must be Heads Up certified.

Equipment Volunteer Adjusts shoulder pads and chin straps, manages drill bags and cones, tracks down balls, tees, and towels on game day.

Team Trainer Handles minor cuts and scrapes, manages water and ice during hot practices and games, helps players off the field so coaches can stay focused on play.

Personnel Manager Counts heads on the sideline between possessions, confirms 11 players are on the field, coordinates chain gang volunteers for home games.

Team Manager / Social Director Coordinates team communications, plans events, manages snacks, supports fundraising, and can serve as the team's social media point of contact.
